Library of Stays combines brand strategy, design, and curated amenities to help your property feel cohesive, elevated, and one-of-a-kind, without adding overwhelm.

Instead of guessing what to update, we design an entire guest experience: from your logo to your welcome basket, every touchpoint feels intentional, professional, and story-driven.

1. Discovery Framework
Every property has a story, and our process is designed to uncover it with clarity before any recommendations are made. We evaluate each home through four key lenses: its physical location and the role it plays in travel behavior, the architectural character that makes it unique, the owner’s goals and priorities, and real or anticipated guest feedback. These inputs guide every decision that follows and ensure strategy - not trends - leads the process. The outcome is a Creative Brief that sets the tone for every decision ahead: clear, inspired, and aligned with your vision.

2. Internal Review
The internal review is a full property audit that evaluates how the home will perform for guests. When guest reviews exist, we analyze them to identify patterns—what guests love, where friction exists, and what impacts ratings and referrals. For new listings without guest history, we rely on industry standards and the ideal guest profile defined in the owner survey to guide decisions. This phase surfaces practical improvements that strengthen comfort, flow, and the overall stay experience.

3. Regional Market Insight
Every property exists within a regional travel story. This phase reviews comparable properties in the area and evaluates why people travel there; whether for outdoor recreation, seasonal draw, nearby universities, or regional events. Most properties will have clear competitors, while others are truly unique; in both cases, this step gives us the market context we need to position the home with clarity and intention.

4. Brand Identity & Design
We design your complete brand suite - logos, color palette, font system, and visual language - crafted to capture the spirit of your space: the charm that draws guests in and the feeling that lingers long after their stay. From your digital presence on Airbnb, VRBO, and social media to the physical touches guests can hold, like custom mugs, postcards, coasters, and more. Every detail works together to tell your property’s story with warmth, consistency, and heart.

5. Furnishings & Essentials
We begin with a full audit of what already exists before recommending any new purchases. Furnishings must meet standards for comfort, durability, and function, with thoughtful investment only where it meaningfully improves guest experience or longevity. Priority items include quality mattresses, blackout curtains or shades, seating that matches listed occupancy, layered lighting, and well-equipped cooking essentials. Every piece must serve a purpose, support guest comfort, and make sense within budget.

6. Styling & Brand Layer
Styling is where story meets strategy. It transforms a functional home into a memorable stay and establishes a sense of identity that guests can feel. Styling decisions create cohesion, highlight focal moments, and build emotional connection (both in person and through photography). This is where the home becomes instantly recognizable as a brand. Includes cohesive color palette, layered textures, artwork, styling details, and signature design moments.

7. Amenities
Amenities are not one-size-fits-all; they are based on the needs and expectations of the property’s ideal guest avatar. Each amenity must serve a purpose, reinforce hospitality, and add value without creating clutter or unnecessary cost. Amenities also play a key role in booking confidence and review quality. Common categories include beverage stations, outdoor elements, family or pet-friendly additions, entertainment options, and workspace or wellness considerations where relevant.

8. Implementation Plan
The implementation plan turns strategy into action. It outlines what to source, where it goes, and how to bring each space together step by step. The plan is designed to be practical and easy to follow, with clear priorities and sourcing guidance so it can be completed within a real budget and timeline. It can be executed directly by the owner or handed to professionals (such as contractors, installers, or interior decorators) for support, depending on the needs of the project.

How do your payment plans work and how do we pay?
Your payments are divided into a 4 payment schedule. We accept payments through our accounting software: we accept all major credit cards, bank transfers, and checks, all with no fee to you. 

Do you guarantee ROI or provide financial projections?
No, we don’t sell ROI promises. Our focus is on identity, differentiation, and guest appeal. ROI follows when a home becomes memorable, desirable, and beautifully marketed. Working with us makes your property come to life and gives you the tools you can utilize across booking platforms. 

How do you work with owners?
We start with an owner survey to understand goals, style, and appetite for bold vs. safe updates. We read every review, and get booking data so we can find out the property's guest avatar. We communicate at key milestones to ensure confidence and alignment. The end result is a property that balances personal pride of ownership with market demand.

What problem do you solve for lifestyle buyers?
We bridge the gap, creating a property that’s both a beloved family retreat and a high-performing rental. You want your property to feel like yours, but also need it to attract guests and subsidize the cost of ownership. There's no need to settle on a 'generic' furnished house or turnkey design that falls flat with renters.

What problem do you solve for generational homes?
Families often inherit homes that are dated, tired, or underperforming in today’s rental market. While they may not carry debt, they still need to produce income or justify upkeep. Generational homes often fall into design sameness or become cluttered with mismatched updates over the years. We help reposition these homes with respect for family history while ensuring they stand out as unique, bookable stays.

How far out should I book? 
We usually book our calendar a few months in advance. It’s important to contact us right away if you think you’d like to work together. We're happy to hold a future date for you with a signed agreement and paid retainer. 

Can you pencil me in so I can save for the project?
We're so glad you'd like to work with us, but no: the only way to hold your date is by signing your contract and paying your retainer. That said, we are flexible with your start date once you're officially booked.

How will I receive my final files?
When we're done, you’ll receive a folder with PNG and EPS files of each element/logo, as well as desktop fonts associated with your project, social assets, and files from your collateral (with notes where you can re-order). Files will be delivered via GoogleDrive or another file transfer site. Once your project wraps, you will receive the print files and resources to re-order once needed. 

Are we going to have fun?
Short answer: Yes! This process is exciting, thought-provoking, insightful, and creative. There’s no way it can’t be fun! Our goal is that you are super inspired and full of confidence once we are done. Your ideal guests will be so impressed!

No, we are not property managers. We are a creative agency for vacation rentals. We work directly with owners, and we love partnering with property managers and real estate agents. Our focus is on branding, positioning, and guest experience, not day-to-day operations. Is Library of Stays a property management company?

We are proud to live and work in Oregon. We are currently booking projects located in Central Oregon and the Portland Metro area. Properties outside of our primary area will be considered on a case-by-case basis. We'd love to work with clients in the Pacific Northwest, and will expand to other areas soon. DO YOU ONLY WORK WITH AIRBNB PROPERTIES?

Our signature package includes naming assistance, creative design and positioning, guest experience design, curated sourcing, marketing collateral, an implementation roadmap, photography direction, preferred vendor introductions, and listing optimization. You should expect a strategic implementation plan of unique amenities and light interior refreshing, as the budget allows. WHAT CAN WE EXPECT WHEN WORKING WITH YOU?

Given the custom nature of each project, timelines will vary. The length of a project is dependent on communication and scope. Most LoS projects take 8-12 weeks, but this is a very general estimate.

If we agree we’re the perfect fit, you will need to sign a contract and send your nonrefundable retainer. Once that’s complete, it’s official … you’ll be on our calendar! Because we partner with a select number of properties each year, we encourage you to contact us as soon as possible to secure your start date.
